Good News for Immigrant Visa Applicants!

The CDC has eliminated the COVID-19 vaccination requirement for immigrant visa applicants, effective March 11, 2025. This means that panel physicians will no longer reject applications based on vaccination status. U.S. embassies and consulates will also cease denying visas for this reason.

Applicants previously deemed ineligible solely due to lack of COVID-19 vaccination may request a free re-evaluation of their medical exam from their panel physician. To do so, please contact the U.S. embassy or consulate where you submitted your application. This is welcome news for many prospective immigrants!
