EB-1 annual limit reached.

EB-1 Visas for FY 2024 Reached Annual Limit

The State Department and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announce that all available Employment-Based First Preference (EB-1) visas for fiscal year (FY) 2024 have been issued. This means that for the remainder of FY 2024, no further EB-1 visas will be issued.

The EB-1 category prioritizes individuals with extraordinary ability, outstanding professors and researchers, and multinational executives and managers. These highly skilled individuals make significant contributions to the U.S. economy.

This limitation is due to the annual cap on employment-based preference immigrant visas set by the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). The annual limit will reset on October 1, 2024, with the start of FY 2025, at which time visa issuance will resume.
