EB-2 Visas for FY 2024 Exhausted
The State Department and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announce that all available Employment-Based Second Preference (EB-2) visas for fiscal year (FY) 2024 have been issued. This reflects the high demand for these visas among individuals with exceptional ability and advanced degrees who make significant contributions to the U.S. economy.
As mandated by the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), the number of EB-2 visas is limited each fiscal year. With the allocation of all FY 2024 visas, embassies and consulates will be unable to issue further EB-2 visas until October 1, 2024, the start of FY 2025. At that time, visa issuance will resume for qualified applicants.
