Important Information Regarding Employment-Based Visas
The State Department and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services regret to announce that all available Employment-Based Third Preference (EB-3) and Other Workers (EW) visas for fiscal year (FY) 2024 have been issued. This means that no further visas in these categories can be issued until the start of FY 2025.
This limit is mandated by the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), which sets an annual cap on employment-based preference immigrant visas. While this process helps ensure a fair and orderly immigration system, it unfortunately means that many qualified applicants seeking essential work visas in fields like healthcare will need to wait until October 1, 2024, when the annual visa limits will be reset for FY 2025.
We understand this news may be disappointing to those awaiting visas. We appreciate your patience and continued interest in contributing to the U.S. workforce. We encourage you to check with your local embassy or consulate for further information and updates.
