Important Notice: EB-4 Visas for FY 2024
The Department of State and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services regret to announce that all available Employment-Based Fourth Preference (EB-4) visas for fiscal year (FY) 2024 have been issued. This affects a number of individuals, including religious workers, special immigrant juveniles, and former U.S. government employees, among others.
This is due to the annual limits on employment-based preference immigrant visas as set forth in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). Specifically, INA 203(b)(4) restricts the number of EB-4 visas to 7.1 percent of the worldwide employment limit. Consequently, no further EB-4 visas can be issued by embassies and consulates until the start of the new fiscal year.
The annual visa limits will be reset on October 1, 2024, at the beginning of FY 2025. At that time, embassies and consulates will resume processing visa applications in these categories for eligible applicants.
