Important Update: Nonimmigrant Visa Interview Waivers

The Department of State has streamlined the process for nonimmigrant visa applicants who may qualify for an interview waiver. Certain applicants may now be eligible for a waiver under the authority granted to consular officers by INA section 222(h). Specific eligibility criteria must still be met. However, consular officers retain the discretion to require in-person interviews based on individual circumstances or local conditions.
